Your three-coffee lineup

All three coffees contain caffeine. Riverside’s 50/50 blend describes the coffee mixture, not a tested caffeine amount in a brewed cup.

Make the comparison your own

Start with one serving of each profile on separate occasions. Use the same mug, similar water amounts and the packet directions, then note which aroma and flavor you prefer. Eight of each gives you room to revisit a coffee or share it with someone else.

For hosting, let guests choose a labeled packet and provide stable mugs, a clear pouring area, hot water and brewing directions. For work or travel, pack sealed servings and check that hot water is available.

How to brew single-serve pour-over coffee

  1. Open the packet, remove the drip bag and tear the filter along its marked edge.
  2. Unfold the arms and secure the filter over a suitable mug.
  3. Wet the grounds, then pour hot water slowly in stages. Keep water below the filter’s top edge and allow it to drain between pours.
  4. Follow the packet directions for your cup. Let the final pour drain, then remove the filter.

Coffee variety pack questions

Is this instant coffee, a pod or a steeping bag?

No. Hot water flows through ground coffee and a filter into your mug. The grounds stay in the drip bag rather than dissolving. Use the filter arms for pour-over brewing; the packet is not designed for a capsule machine or steeping in the cup.

Is this a decaf or all-Half Caff pack?

No. Only the eight Riverside servings are Half Caff, and they still contain caffeine. Bowling Green and The Natural are caffeinated coffees. Caffeine in the finished cup varies with dose and brewing.

Can I start with a smaller sampler?

Yes. Choose the 8-count Pour Over Variety Pack for a smaller introduction. This 24-count pack gives you eight servings of each profile.

How should I store the packets?

Keep each sleeve sealed until brewing. Store packets in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture, direct light and strong odors. Follow the best-by information on the packaging.
