Oval’s co-founder and Director of Coffee, Christopher Alspach, has been an SCA-certified roaster since 2014 and honed his craft over seven years in Portland, Oregon’s influential 2010s specialty coffee scene before returning home to New York City. That experience continues to shape Oval’s balance of technical rigor and modern sensibility.
