April brought new retail and distribution relationships, Bowling Green iced coffee in The Bronx, brewed coffee service at TikTok headquarters, and a museum encounter with coffee as artistic material.
Retail expansion from Westchester to the Mountain West

In the New York metro area, Oval launched with DeCicco & Sons across Westchester County, including stores in Ardsley, Armonk, Bedford, Harrison, Larchmont, Pelham, Somers, Scarsdale, and Sleepy Hollow.
Oval also expanded west through Clark’s Market, with April availability reported across Colorado and Arizona. Both relationships placed Oval in grocery environments shaped by strong food programs, regional communities, and daily customer routines.
A West Coast distribution relationship
In April, Oval began working with Whisha Coffee Distributors to support retail relationships in Northern and Southern California.
The relationship reflected the operational side of specialty-coffee growth: direct store delivery, merchandising, inventory attention, freshness, and retailer support. Businesses evaluating Oval should use the wholesale page for current program information rather than relying on this historical announcement.
Bowling Green iced coffee at Moss Cafe
April also brought Oval to Moss Cafe in Riverdale, the first café reported by Oval as serving the coffee in The Bronx.
Moss used Bowling Green Women-Grown coffee for iced coffee. A lighter roast in that format calls for attention to recipe and extraction, and the choice suited a café known for local ingredients, in-house cooking, and a thoughtful neighborhood approach.

Coffee catering at TikTok headquarters
One April highlight was Anheuser-Busch Creativity Day at TikTok headquarters in New York City, where Oval provided brewed coffee service throughout the event.

Coffee, Here and There: Jannis Kounellis at Magazzino
The artwork pictured at the top is Jannis Kounellis’ Senza titolo (Bilancino e caffè), or Untitled (Scales and Coffee), encountered at Magazzino Italian Art.
To us, the metal structure and small scales suggest industry, measurement, commerce, and exchange. The coffee brings associations of aroma, trade, port cities, labor, ritual, and daily pleasure. It invites us to think about a familiar material beyond its everyday use.
The coffee aroma was faint during this visit, but the premise remained compelling: coffee can be experienced through smell and cultural association as well as sight. It can suggest closeness, travel, labor, refinement, and pleasure without stating any of those subjects directly.
Magazzino, located near Cold Spring, focuses on postwar and contemporary Italian art. Visitors should consult the museum for current exhibitions, hours, directions, and transportation information.
