At Oval Coffee Roasters, we're driven by our love for the art of coffee. Founded by Christopher Alspach, Chin Mong, and Josh Craig, our team is based in the vibrant heart of Manhattan. We're not your average coffee roasters – we're on a mission to create exceptional coffee experiences that cater to every palate. With a deep-rooted commitment to quality and sustainability, we infuse every step of our process with expertise and passion. Chin and Chris have been immersed in the coffee world since the late 2000s, amassing knowledge in coffee quality, sustainability, wholesale sales, and cafe operations. Chin has worked in renowned establishments across Portland, Oregon, and owns numerous businesses in New York City, including cafe's Sip and Co and Hi Low, and bar Hard To Explain. Meanwhile, Chris co-founded Upper Left Roasters in the coffee capital of the United States, Portland, Oregon. His journey took him to coffee farms and processing stations in Ethiopia, Honduras, Kenya, and Guatemala, shaping his understanding of the industry through more than 15,000 roast batches. Completing our team is Josh, an artist and designer who adds a creative touch to Oval Coffee Roasters. As a co-founder of 11-88 Creative in the Flatiron District, Josh brings his artistic vision to our craft. Notably, he recently made waves by creating the sonic landscape for the first generative artwork sold at auction by Sotheby's. We believe that our unique blend of experience, dedication, and love for coffee sets us apart.
